» How www.solidrockfaith.com got started.
Since May 7, 2000 this website is online. It's called solidrockfaith.com because the Lord wants us to have rock-solid faith in Him. Not fair-weather faith. Not superficial faith. Not weak faith. Not little faith. Too many folks are utterly faithless. Jesus Christ wants us to have rock-solid faith in Him. God is not mocked. God is true and faithful.
When I noticed how easy it was to create a website and that an average person can afford to maintain a website from his own paycheck (as opposed to radio and TV ministries which cost hundreds and thousands of dollars) I knew immediately that I had to go to work for the Lord and use this as a witnessing tool for Christ. The Lord put this on my heart immediately to publish the Christian message, and conceal not! Both in English (www.solidrockfaith.com) and German (www.GuteBotschaft.com) language - these are the languages I know best. We also maintain a German blog at www.christenkurier.de. We're a bilingual ministry. It seems like the Lord keeps on giving me new things to publish. The Bible says: The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it." Psalm 68:11. In Habakkuk 2:2 it also says: And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it." My "tables" are the pages of this website and I will make plain to everyone the way of salvation and the doctrines of the Bible.
This site offers a wide variety of material on how to be born again, how to live a meaningful Christian life, the Ten Commandments, Baptist history, pro-life/pro-family issues, restoration of a Biblical worldview as opposed to secular humanism, separation from sin, etc. The website provides you with the opportunity to hear the preached word of God in English and German. The Bible says that it pleases God to save them that are lost by the foolishness of preaching. This website seeks to preach where few preachers can go - homes, offices and churches in many countries around the world. It is my hope and prayer that the German website will one day become the starting point for a missionary work in Germany, so that a self-supporting, self-governing, self-propagating independent local independent Baptist church can be started there. All glory be to God!
Webmaster's testimony of salvation.
Our statement of faith.
The Lord willing I would like to make a trip or move to Germany to do several things:
- Daily streetpreaching. Acts 17:17. Esp. at the many historic sites and downtown areas.
- Pass out gospel tracts & literature wherever we go. Esp. in the much neglected rural areas.
- Be a mail man for Jesus in these ugly communist-style rental high-rise buildings all over the country.
- Door-to-door visitation to evangelize and invite people to Bible-believing churches.
- Try to talk to local politicians and authorities about the need for legalized homeschooling in Germany. The current prohibition on homeschooling is not acceptable. Try to be a help and blessing to the cause in any way fit.
- Place Bible-believing literature into Catholic churches and chapels. They are often unlocked and we can sneak literature into their racks or into the hands of their saint statues.
- If there are no further ministry opportunities left for me here in the US, then I definitely need to go back to Germany, so I won't waste God's time. Right now I have almost no appointments to preach, so I work all the overtime I can at my workplace in order to stay busy and save money toward the above-mentioned goals.
We'd like to lead people to the Lord and then teach them the Bible. Teach them salvation, sanctification, separation, soulwinning, the second coming, etc. Teach Bible doctrine. Equip believers to stand for the Lord and not become a victim of the godless, modern, intrusive, wicked culture. The Lord willing, we can establishing a permanent mission work in Germany. A small house church might first get started. The German state churches are running out of money and are selling off their older parsonages. Very affordable! These houses have enough room for a family to live, a small congregation to gather and have a guest room or prophet's chamber. My family would like to live in a German community (Dorf) and be hospitable, have home Bible studies, singing and let that be the start of a Bible-believing ministry over there.
