Requesting the German Federal Government Recognize Basic Parental Rights
Homeschooling father from Germany explaining government persecution. [ 1:18 ] Play Now | Play in Popup | Download (233)I want to thank the Tennessee House of Representatives for House Resolution 87 that was adopted and signed 05/26/2009. As a German who lived in Tennessee for a long time I have personally seen the positive fruit of homeschooling. Unfortunately, the Federal Republic of Germany does not allow homeschooling and persecutes those who do. The entire German family, education and social politics are dominated by the leftists and remind me of the communist regime in east Germany. For example, the German government today supports the concept of nationwide government-sponsored day-care to force women into the workplace and lure children into politically-correct indoctrination including anti-God and pro-gay/anti-family propaganda and recruiting. This is a scandal. Many families fall for this because of the high cost of living and completely overtaxed European “way of survival” (it sure ain’t a ”way of life”).
In the midst of all this I am thankful to the Tennessee House of Representatives for unanimously adopting a resolution calling upon the German government to respect basic parental rights such as the right of parents to determine the education and religious upbringing of their children. In the meantime a German family has been seeking for asylum in the state of Tennessee because in Germany they feared losing custody of their children because they were homeschooling.
Here is the full text of the resolution. Let me encourage you to do one thing: Please send it to as many German schools, officials, politicians and friends as you know so that country can experience a rebirth of faith, family and freeedom instead of falling deeper into antichristian apostasy.

WHEREAS, parental choice and involvement are crucial to excellence in education; and
WHEREAS, denial of the basic right of parents to choose the manner in which their children are educated goes against the ideals of individual liberty and freedom; and
WHEREAS, home educated students in Tennessee have continually exhibited high standards of academic achievement and citizenship; and
WHEREAS, the Federal Republic of Germany infringes upon the parental rights of its citizens to direct their children’s education, using threats of imprisonment, seizure of their children, and other forms of coercion; and
WHEREAS, the federal government of the Federal Republic of Germany justifies its policy against home education on a desire to prevent the emergence of parallel societies based on separate philosophical convictions, thus denying freedom of speech, religion, association, and thought; now, therefore,
