Antisocial Networking

Addiction to so-called “social networks” is hurting families and endangers real relationships as people escape reality and flee themselves into an artificial world of digital gadgets and superficial “friendship” on the internet. The things that are going on in the most popular “social networks” are far from a contribution to society. Diverse kinds of antisocial and asocial behavior such as mobbing, gossip, whispering, spying, lying, backbiting and busybodying are being encouraged. Believers need to be aware of these traps and should apply the commands of Christ before turning on a computer.
If you spend more time with facebook instead of the faithbook – the Bible – then you are already on a course to addiction and self-deception as you set a negative example for others. We need people to sign up and go along with the terms written down in God’s faithbook (KJV). The best social network one can ask for is a local Bible-believing, Bible-practicing church where there is a strong bond of love and fellowship.
