Family Training

The Christian FamilyGod created man as a social being (Gen. 2:18) and has ordained the institutions of family, government and church. What is God’s purpose for the family. We get a good glimpse in Psalm 127 & 128:

EXCEPT the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it. God has a plan for the family that we must follow as Christians. We can’t do it without God. He needs to be the builder of homes.

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. Modern society refuses to believe that. Jesus Christ himself blessed children and they need to be raised according to Biblical principles.

Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them. True happiness is found in a Christian home where the man is the head and shepherd of the family. The children do not belong to the government’s quiver.

Blessed is everyone that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways. The fear of God is taught in a Christian home where there are family devotions, prayer time together and words of blessing. God’s ways are not taught in sports or entertainment activities.

For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands. True prosperity is not gauged by shareholder value, stock market bubbles and materialism, but by men being able to support their (large) families from one income. An economy where that is no longer possible is a weak and antisocial economy.

Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table. One of the strengths of women as homekeepers is their role in creating a warm, hospitable culture in the home. This leads us to the qualities defined in Proverbs 31. The home is a place of rest and order and not a place of chaos. God is not the author of confusion. This verse of scripture tells us what a blessing the family table is. It is not only about food but about meaningful fellowship.

The Biblical family is the basic building block of society and of the church. In fact, the family itself is a house church because it is a place where children first learn about God, are being shepherded by parents and are taught to love and care. At home they first learn about the Bible (2. Tim. 3:15).  If the institution of the family is being weakened, undermined, put asunder or redefined, then that represents a serious attack against social order. Antichristian social movements have attacked the Christian family by furthering misconceptions like “civil unions” “easy divorce” (no fault divorce) or “motherhood outside of marriage”. This is not God’s will for anybody although a lot of liberal and deadbeat churches keep tolerating or even encouraging these devilish deceptions that do not agree with the sanctity of marriage, which the Christian religion has taught through the centuries. The family was instituted by God in the garden of Eden and the Ten Commandments protect this divine institution. The commandment to honour father and mother even contains the promise of stability and continuity of our homeland. Obedience is an expression of love. There is no greater joy than when a child walks in truth and is obedient. Obedience is the opposite of hyperactive, inattentive unruly childishness. Consider the following verses of scripture: Titus 1:6, 1. Timothy 1:3:4,5. Obedience to the word of God is in fact the best recipe for “homeland security”.

The following messages and study materials are dedicated to young
people who want to rid themselves of the liberal lies and the
anti-family philosophy of our modern day. These messages are dedicated to people who want to live a future in the will of God instead of being a slave to political correctness or what ‘everybody else’ is doing:
