The Tennesse Democratic Party is asking you to send ideas. Here are some suggestions from an old-time Christian’s point of view:

Dear Sir or Madam:

On your website you encourage people to send ideas for the 2010 Elections. I have got some ideas for the Democratic party:

Good government ist characterized by righteousness: “It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.” Proverbs 16:12. We need a campaign called Righteousness 2010 because the wickedness of the past grieves our heart and we need to do something about that. Here are some practical ways:

Support SR 519 to ensure that the US will not sign the UN Convention on the Rights of Child. The US shall not be brought under any power of international law. Congress alone has the constitutional authority to enact laws. Set a goal of creating a Parental Rights Amendmend, to solidify the right to homeschool, ensure parental rights while children attend public schools and end all harassment by social workers.

Define marriage as a union between one man and one woman. Pass the Federal Marriage Amendment. Outlaw any form of “gay marriage”. Sexual deviancy should not be abused to save on taxes. Government shall not subsidize sin in any form.

End all public funding for Planned Parenthood and all related anti-life, anti-population NGOs.

Get the US out of the UN and the UN out of the US.

Reverse Kelo vs. City of New London (2005). Eminent domain powers are utterly too broad. No private property shall be confiscated.

Protect the personhood of unborn children and thereby protect them from abortion by making the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution applicable to them. Set the goal of reversing the godless fraudulent Roe vs. Wade decision.

Enforce decency on the broadcast media because they are responsible for the declining morals in America. If we outlaw rap music, we can win the war on drugs. The plethora of sleazy sitcoms, divorce and judge shows, violence, perversion and profanity on national TV has created social problems that cost billions of dollars in follow-up cost such as law enforcement, prisons, foster care, social programs, mental disease, broken homes …). Establish a “polluter pays principle” and thereby make the broadcast media financially accountable for the social problems they incite through their godless propaganda.

In 2009 the US military confiscated and destroyed Bibles in Afghanistan that Christian soldiers brought in to lead Afghans to the LORD. The military states that “proselytizing” violates General Order 1 of US Central Command. Christian troops give up a great deal to put themselves in harm’s way, so they should not have to give up their own personal witness in that environment. The US military should speedily compensate the destroyed Bibles and allow soldiers to win Afghans to the LORD. That is also part of helping this nation overcome Taliban terror.

The State Department should not be allowed to fund travel expenses for a Muslim imam who wants to build a moseque near Ground Zero. The US government should not waste tax dollars to rebuild mosques in Asian countries.

Sex eduation needs to be abolished in public schools. We need to return to the moral standards early Americans used to have. I suggest that the education system of the US returns to proven school text books such as the McGuffey readers, the New England Primer, Webster’s Blue Back Speller, the 1828 Webster’s English dictionary and the King James Bible. There was a time in America when schoolhouses were also used as houses of worship. New school construction should not look like prison complexes or bunkers. The old one-room schoolhouse was the best thing America ever had.

These are 10 ideas for righteousness in America. These are the values I vote for. Please consider them as you represent the people of Tennessee.

Sincerely,

A prayer for America in weird times when judges try to play God and abuse their power for judicial activism.

Heavenly Father,

we come before you once again in the name of Jesus asking that you would bless judge Vaugn Walker of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals with a proper knowledge of thy will and commands. Lord, we are grieved over the abominable sin his activist ruling is promoting. He ruled that Proposition 8 - which defined marriage as the union of one man and one woman in California – is unconstitutional under the U.S. Constitution.

We want to humbly confess the sin of this nation as it drifts farther from God and its laws and society are become increasingly depraved and die in their sin for a lack of knowledge of God. Lord, we grieve that people are turning away from thee and despise the truth of thy Word while rejoicing in iniquity.

Dear God, would you give us leaders that will have a shepherd’s heart and fear you. Will you give us God-fearing leaders that have experienced a know-so salvation and delight in meditating on the precepts of thy Word? Lord, hear our cry for America and the precious souls. So many are deveived with liberal lies, materialism and wicked appetites promoted through godless media. Lord, would you intervene in California for righteousness sake and help that leaders in all branches of government will do that which is pleasing in Thy sight.

Dear Lord, bring Americans back to the old country church. Lord, I grieve that many of the small rural churches are being closed and church members are dying out. Lord, I grieve at the sight of deteriorating, deserted houses of worship in so many places. Lord, America was strong when people flocked to an old country church and read the Bible on the front porch of their simple homes. Now America is destroying itself with immorality promoted by mega corporations and the total commericalization of every aspect of life. Lord, bring conviction upon us. Lord, trouble the consciences of those who are satisfied with their sin and help them to consider the latter end. Help people in California understand that they should not abuse constitutional liberty as an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another (Gal. 5:13). Let them not misuse their liberty as a cloak of covetousness (1. Pe. 2:16), but let them rather serve God with gladness of heart (Deut. 28:47).

Lord, I pray and desire that judge Vaughn Walker would repent of his sin and come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Lord, I am concerned about the condition of his soul. Lord, would you convict him in his heart and smite his conscience, in order that he might renounce his ruling of 08/05/2010 and reinstate the Proposition 8. Lord, guide his heart to apologize to the people of California since he rendered the will of the people null and void and robbed the voter of his voice. Lord, bless the people with Biblically-dervied wisdom for life and esp. for marriage and family. Lord, help that people come to understand your design of man and your blessed commands for our lives. Bless them with wisdom and understanding about the fact that you created them as male and female and that man and women compliment each other in the covenant of marriage. Let them not depart from the way of truth and not get lured into deviant patterns of life. Lord, help people to remain faithful to the precepts and commands of Thy inspired Word.

We ask it all in Jesus’ name and for Christ’s sake. Amen.

This should wake us up.

One day, a man went to visit a church, He got there early, parked his car and got out. Another car pulled up near the driver got out and said, ” I always park there! You took my place!”

The visitor went inside for Sunday School, found an empty seat and sat down. A young lady from the church approached him and stated, “That’s my seat! You took my place!” The visitor was somewhat distressed by this rude welcome, but said nothing.

After Sunday School, the visitor went into the sanctuary and sat down. Another member walked up to him and said, “That’s where I always sit! You took my place!” The visitor was even more troubled by this treatment, but still He said nothing.

Later as the congregation was praying for Christ to dwell among them, the visitor stood up, and his appearance began to change. Horrible scars became visible on his hands and on his sandaled feet. Someone from the congregation noticed him and called out, “What happened to you?” The visitor replied, as his hat became a crown of thorns, and a tear fell from his eye, “I took your place.”

What do we learn from this?

Jesus Christ is our substitute. We as sinners deserved death and eternal condemnation. But Jesus took our place and thereby took our punishment upon himself. This is what the Old Testament prophet Isaiah said about this: “Surely he hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53:3-5. We as sinners can be saved by coming to the end of ourselves in repentance and trusting Jesus Christ and the fact that he took our place and nailed our sin to the cross. Jesus Christ took even your place because you and I were sinners by birth and not just by deed. The fact that Christ died in the place of sinners prevents those who trust in Christ to die in their sin and spend eternity in hell forever separated from God.

We also learn from this that we should not despise others. There is a principle established by the Lord Jesus that as we honor and love others, we love Him. We read in Mt. 25:34-40:

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

What we do to others and esp. the least among them is what we do unto Christ. That is why Christ commands us to love others as ourselves and even gives the new commandment that we should love others as Christ loved us (Jn. 13:34). This was the love of a shepherd who cares and feeds his sheep and carefully seeks out the straying one and leads it back to the fold (John 10). Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd who is not affected by a hireling spirit that is more interested in collecting offerings, salaries and numbers instead of the genuine welfare and sacrifial ministry for the good of the sheep in the fold. Christ also gave us the command to “Do Unto Others”, which is often called the Golden Rule. If we go to a church for the first time, we don”t want the long-time members to look down their noses on us, ignore us or treat us like second-class people. We want them to welcome us and be hospitable. This should not lead to hypocritical love-bombing known from cults. But it should be the genuine sense of Christian brotherhood and the willingness to minister to others.

In the book of James we find good advice for churches in James 2:1-9. We are commanded to have no respect of persons. We should not become partial and become judges of evil thoughts. Such an evil thought would be to judge a new church member by his money, career or looks and treat him differently based on his social status. A wealthy church member who gives a lot to a church might get away with sin and not get disciplined by the church while a church member involved in sin with very little social standing gets excluded immediately. In Christ there is no respect of persons. Partiality is sinful. 1. Tim. 5:21 tells us we should do nothing by partiality. James 3:17 says that godly wisdom is without partiality. Parents need to be sure that they are not partial in loving their children. Churches should have no respect of persons to leaders, people of wealth or high social standing.

Let us not end up like the Laodicean church that had Christ excluded. He had to knock at the door and ask to be allowed inside (Rev. 3:20). This self-conceited church thought they had it all, but they did not have Christ inside. Let us be truly hospitable because what we do unto others is what we do unto Christ because He identifies with them. The quality of a church can probably be gauged by the way they treat visitors. Are we irritated because they sit in the pew that we usually sit in. Then shame on us. Let us repent of this selfishness and deny ourselves and begin to understand that Christ called us to wash one another’s feet by ministering to one another (John 13:15). The way we treat others is not determined by the fact what these people did for us in the past. It is determined solely by the fact what Christ did for us. What he did to us, we do to others.

“For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.” 1. Peter 2:19.

In our churches we sing precious hymns such as “Tell the world Jesus saves” or “Tell me the story of Jesus”. It is only logical that we also practice what we sing about and go into the public telling others about Jesus and the sinners’ need to come to a saving knowledge of Christ.

Four preachers were recently talking to people on the sidewalk near an Islamic festival in Dearborn, MI in order to tell others of Jesus’ love but they were surrounded and arrested by a number of policemen. The Dearborn police department is run by Ron Haddad, its first Arab American chief. We wonder if this is some kind of a sharia-enforcing police state? it was already ruled by a judge that Christians are not to pass out gospel tracts near that Islamic festival in Dearborn, MI. Apparently there is ‘freedom of religion’ in this country except in Dearborn Michigan during the Arab Festival. Real Americans and old-time Christians know that all of these rulings and the actions of the Dearbons police are altogether unconstitutional and un-American.

The evangelists were wrongfully accused of “breach of the peace”. Obviously, it is disturbing to sinners to hear of the name of Jesus for the convicting power of the Holy ghost certainly disturbs the fleeting peace of the unsaved sinner by reminding him of the brevity of his life and future destiny of judgment and condemnation. We sing that song called “Don’t Put Off Salvation Too Long”. Yes, we do mean that. Gospel truth applies to every human being and every street corner of every continent including Dearborn, Mi. Gospel truth is like a law of nature. It is non-optional and bring about consequences depending on whether we obey or disobey.

Watch how the Dearborn police violates the constitutional rights of Christians and arrests people for doing what is right:

It seems American cops are enforcing Muslim sharia laws instead of defending the principles of the US constitution and individial rights. It is sad that a lot cities in the US have ordinances that are altogether unconstitutional because they restrict the freedom of speech for example on sidewalks, public squares etc. All of this is in dire need to be struck down as unconstitutional. It is hypocritical when city officials put restrictions on free speech because of noise concerns ( a streetpreacher using a bullhorn) but will wink at pick up trucks with loud muffler systems (“echo tips”) that wake up entire neighborhoods.

I would like to share with you two letters to officials in Dearborn, MI. The first is a letter to the mayor of Dearborn with a complaint about the wrongful arrest:

Dear Mayor O’Reilly:

A number of Christians have been arrested on the streets of Dearborn while peacefully handing out gospel literature near an Arab festival. It seems like Dearborn has turned into a police state where religious freedom as secured in the Constitution does not exist.

I believe the police department under Ron Haddad has made a serious mistake. It was wrong and totally exaggerated to have almost a dozen policemen arrest a few Chrsitians doing what they are suppposed to do.

I plead with you that if Mr. Haddad does not apoligize for this case of unlawful arrest, he should be subsequently fired from his position because the United States of America is too precious to deserve to be turned into a police state.

Sincerely,

Ingo Breuer

The following is a letter to the Dearborn chief of police Ron Haddad with a similar complaint about the wrongful arrest of Christians:

Dear Mr. Haddad:

I oppose the unlawful and unconstitutional arrest of several Christian evangelists at a Dearborn Muslim festival.

I hope you have apologized to these men for the unlawful arrest.

These men certainly have the right to pass out literature on any street in Dearborn. In fact, it would be the job of the police to protect these men as they exercise their constitutional rights.

We don’t want a police state in Dearborn. I oppose the misconduct of those policemen. Why did you have almost a dozen policemen trying to hinder a couple of Christians doing what they’re supposed to do.

I am disappointed of this police state behavior in Detroit.

Sincerely,

Ingo Breuer

Part of the fault for such police-state-like conditions in Americans cities lies with the Christian churches themselves since many Christian churches are mere social clubs and no longer are involved in any public ministry, visitation or other effort to reach their neighborhoods for Christ. If a Christian sings those hymns such as “Rescue the perishing” or “Onward Christian Soldiers”, then there must be a tangible real-life compliance with the message of those songs or else we lie to God and those around us while we sing those songs with our lips, but do not follow the message in our hearts.

When I sing “Do You Know My Jesus” or “Tell me the story of Jesus”, then I need to put faith to action. These men in Dearborn were telling others the story of Jesus. They did nothing unusual or criminal. They told the world that Jesus saves. How sad that this day you get arrested for that in America while peole who run around in public almost completely naked do not get rebuked for indecent exposure. Things are getting mighty weird, don’t they?

As we observe Independence Day tomorrow, let us heed the words of the 3rd US president and signer of the Declaration of Independence John Adams. He said the following about Independence Day in a letter to his wife Abigail:

“I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.”

I think we have forgotten the solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty! So I ask you to spend your Independence Day in a solemn act of devotion to God Almighty. Make it your prayer day! Have you prayed for your national leaders, judges and officials? The integrity of the US Supremce Court is currently being called into question as another ultra-liberal nominee is being considered. She has not much regard for the US Constitution and the founders’ original intent. For this woman judge international law seems to take precedence over the Constitution and she has defended pro-abortion and pro-sodomite laws in the past. So she is a judicial activist who legislates from the bench and bends the law to get what she wants it mean. So even after the horrible Kelo v. City of New London blooper of 2005 that abolished traditional property rights in favor of the use of eminent domain for economic development, the Supreme Court is still in need of prayer for godly wisdom and sound Biblical principles for decision-making.

Please write me and tell me that you are participating in solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty as John Adams envisioned. Thank you!

Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord:
and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
Psalm 127:3

It is amazing at what an early stage after the conception of a human being features of the body such as the heartbeat, hand and feet start developing. The picture of the little feet should give us ample warning that an abortion is not ‘the removing of fetal tissue’, but the killing of a human being.

The following letter describes the ghastly procedure of an abortion, however, it is written from the perspective of the unborn child. The Holy Bible tells us, “Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.” (Proverbs 31:8) Thus, we will speak out for the unborn children. For they are dumb and cannot defend their own rights. This letter shows the great moral corruption in our society when there are legal acts of murder committed in a mother’s womb. When there is rebellion against the Christian family concept – the best place for children to be born into. When our lives are so determined by materialism that there is no place for children. Let us repent and let us not be silent in defending the right to life, and let us lovingly accept and welcome life.

Letter to Mommy

Dear Mommy,

I’m in heaven now, sitting on Jesus’ lap. He loves me and cries with me, for my heart is broken. I so much wanted to be your little girl. I don’t quite understand what has happened. I was so excited when I began to realize my existence. I was in a dark, yet comfortable place. I saw that I had fingers and toes and I was pretty far along in my developing, yet not near ready to leave my surroundings. I spent most of my time thinking or sleeping. Even from the earliest days, I felt a special bonding between us. Sometimes I heard you crying and I cried with you. Sometimes you would yell or scream, then cry, I heard daddy yelling back. I was sad, and hoped you would be better soon. I wondered why you cried so much. One day you cried almost the entire day. I hurt for you. I couldn’t imagine why you were so unhappy. That same day, the most horrible thing happened. A very mean monster came into my warm comfortable place. I was so scared, and I began screaming but there was no sound. I guess they had you pinned down, because you never once tried to help me. The monster came closer and closer as I was screaming and screaming until I couldn’t anymore. Then the monster started ripping my arms and legs off and it hurt so bad. The pain, I could never explain it. It never stopped. Oh how I begged it to stop. OH! I screamed in horror, though I was in such complete pain, I realized I was dying. I knew I would never see your face or hear you tell me how much you loved me. I wanted to make all of your tears go away. I had plans to make you happy. Now I couldn’t. All my dreams were shattered. Though I was in shear pain and horror, I could feel the pain of my heart breaking. Above all else I wanted more than anything to be your daughter. It was now to late for I was dying a very painful death. I could only imagine what terrible things they had done to you. I wanted to tell you I love you before I was gone, but I didn’t know the words you could understand. Very soon I no longer had the breath to say them; I was dead… I then felt myself rising. I was carried by a huge angel into a beautiful place. I was still crying, but the physical pain was gone. The angel took me to Jesus and set me on his lap. He said he loves me, and that he was my father. Then I was happy. I asked him what the thing was that killed me? He answered “ABORTION”. “I’m sorry, my child; for I know how it feels”. I don’t know what abortion is, I guess that’s the name of the monster. I’m writing to say that I love you and to tell you how much I wanted to be your little girl. I tried very hard to live. I wanted to live. I had the will, but just couldn’t, the monster was too powerful. It sucked my arms and legs off, ripping them from my sockets with great pain, and finally got all of me. It was impossible to live. I just wanted you to know that I tried to stay with you. I didn’t want to leave you. Also mommy, please watch out for the ABORTION MONSTER. Mommy I love you very much and would hate for you to go through the kind of pain and suffering I did. Please be careful.

Love,

Your Baby Girl

Choose Life!

You are here because your parents and in particular your mother chose life. You were born. Allow me to ask you: Why would you not chose life for your own child? Who made you judge over that life? Abortion is never the solution. Abortion – the killing of an unborn child in the mother’s womb – only compounds the problem. The best way to prevent abortion is not only federal legislation, but even more important is that you become born again by trusting Jesus Christ as Savior and let Jesus be Lord over every area of your life. Once the love of God is shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Ghost which you are given when you become born again you will cringe at the thought of abortion. The very idea of it will seem so wicked to you that you will immediately get this murderous thought out of your heart. Once you get saved and get taught the Bible, then abortion is no option for you.
Let the Lord plan your parenthood. The fact is that the Bible has a plan for the family. Do you know that plan? If so, do you work the plan? If that plan is followed, then there would be no demand for abortion! The clinics would go out of business. Let marriage be honorable. Enter into marriage pure. Dating will be replaced by courtship. Pray that God will lead you to the likeminded saved soulmate that is right for you. Let the man be the head of the house and love and provide for his family. Let the wife be submissive and reverence her husband. Let children be obedient and unspoiled. Live a simple life.
If you think you can’t “afford” another child and you still smoke, drink, fish, hunt, go on vacations, own several cars or a new car, subscribe to magazines, cable or satellite hellevision, eat out all the time and waste your resources in other ways you ought to be ashamed of yourself. A human soul has a higher value than all this “stuff” that you are addicted to. Wake up! Understand that pre-marital and extra-marital relationships are against God’s will and represent the sin of adultery, fornication, lasciviousness, concupiscence, chambering, inordinate affection, etc. Do you know the meaning of these words? If not, please contact us, so we can be of help!
Sex is for marriage and marriage is for life. If you are truly in a “crisis” and have no way at all to take care of your child, please consider adoption. Turn to a Bible-believing and Bible-practicing church, pastor, minister, or church member for real counseling.
We have pro-life counseling materials available. Contact local government for adoption facilities. We can also locate Christian adoption ministries for you and forward the information to you. We would like for you to get help. We would like to save a life, and we would like to save you the regret of having wiped out a young life with all the depression and health risks that might follow an abortion or the use of abortive pills such as RU486. The solution is not RU486. The solution is AV1611, i. e. the Authorized King James Bible of 1611. The Bible is the only authority we are to regard in matters of family, marriage and how to raise children.

How does an abortion affect a woman’s health?

The link between abortion and breast cancer continues to be the abortion industry’s well-hidden dirty secret thanks to our nation’s silent news media. Even though 27 of 35 studies published during the past 44 years have casually linked abortion with breast cancer, abortion-rights groups deny that such a link exists and essentially refuse to inform women of these important studies. Thirteen of 15 U.S. studies have reported a link, with seven showing more than a twofold increase in the risk of post-abortion breast cancer. Thankfully, a group called the Coalition on Abortion & Breast Cancer is working to inform women of this real link between abortion and breast cancer. The organization’s president, Karen Malec, says it is indefensible that this information has been censored from American women. Conversely, she says, the public was informed when only five-out -of-seven studies linked cellular phones with brain cancer. Despite convincing evidence of the dangers of breast cancer from abortion, the lucrative abortion industry continues to deny any link exists. Attacking the credibility of studies, the abortion lobby claims there is no consensus in the scientific community on the subject. And women are left in the dark regarding this very real health threat. While the American Cancer Society has stated in its fact sheet that abortion “may be associated with increased breast cancer risk,” the Coalition on Abortion & Breast Cancer has reported that an employee of the American Cancer Society asked them to remove the Society’s 1996 statement from its Web site. “We have contacted the Society and asked them to inform us of the legal basis for their request, if any,” the organization reported. The message here is that the truth is being concealed. Remember that abortion is a very lucrative voation for many. The Society reported that Dr. Janet Daling, an abortion supporter, and her colleagues at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center were commissioned by the National Cancer Institute to do a study on the abortion-breast cancer link. The study found that, “among women who had been pregnant at leat once, the risk of breast cancer in those who had experienced an induced abortion was 50 percent higher than among other women.”

The organization also reported that women under the age of 18, or over the age of 29, who obtained induced abortions had more than a twofold increase in risk. Women with a family history of breast cancer who procured an abortion were reported to have statistically-significant risk increases of 80 percent. And girls under age 18 with a family history of breast cancer who procured abortions had an incalculably high risk increase.

This is information American women need to know. It is simply unpardonable that our nation’s news media remains silent on this deadly threat to women.
