That matters to me. It tells the story of salvation and answers some of life’s most basic questions about our need for God. I have always enjoyed the messages on the signs of so many Christian congregations. They have blessed my heart and given important nuggets of wisdom or reminded me of basic truths. As a Christian who loves photography it is common that you see me stop and take a picture of those signs so I can share the gospel message with others. Looking beyond the borders of our small towns and communities we notice that we are engulfed in world of spiritual darkness. You will not see the scripture signs in Europe and the nations that were to be “rebuilt” after wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are still the most dark places without the gospel. In fact these nations are among the biggest persecutors of Christians. That is why I send this video out with the hope that it will plant the seed of the gospel in many hearts the world over as they come to know the love of God by faith. Don’t let Satan blind you and make you lose your eternal reward and your right to make with peace through Jesus Christ. Satan makes losers out of people through sin. Then why did the founding fathers make so many references to the Bible in their writings as if they checked their principles of government against the true authority of the Bible? True, America is not a sectarian country ruled by a church hierarchy as the old medieval Europe. But the old Europe was not truly Christian in that they hated the Bible and did not have a concept of personal soul salvation by being born again. Can you imagine that most Europeans today do not really know what it means to be “born again” or hot to be born again by accepting Jesus as Lord? That is the true European crisis: their Biblical illiteracy! Then Obama goes on to say that America is a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values. True! But what shaped those ideals and values? The Bible and the quest for liberty of those who wanted to live out the Biblical truths in freedom. So Obama fails to recognize that the ideals Americans believe in have been shaped by the Bible itself. The ideal of the “quiet and peacable life in all godliness and honesty” 1. Timothy 2:1,2. Picture an old American country home in a rural community and you have a perfect picture of Psalm 128 in action. The Biblical concept of the New Testament church is that of an autonomous local congregation and not a European-style ecclesiastical hierarchy. That is the mistake of the Roman emperor Constantine who married the church to the world instead of the pure marriage of the church to Christ. The set of values American citizens possess is not influenced or defined by secularism, humanism or socialism. Let us be careful against all attempts of those who want to redefine the set of values and ideals Americans believe in. It was not very smart that Obama made this remark about America not being a Christian nation at a press conference in Turkey. Why does an American president cowtow to a leader of a largely Muslim nation that does not have true religious freedom, persecutes Christians by not allowing them to build churches, funds the Islamisation of Europe and denies the genocide in Armenia. That incident alone is enough to demand a conservative, Christian president to take over in 2012. Friends don’t let friends vote for Obama. Just watch this Tea Party event in Lebanon, Tennessee to get the idea of where we need to go in 2012: Is America a Christian nation? Parents were even present in supporting the work in public schools in the communities. Nowadays public schools are built like prison complexes and the influence ends at the school threshold. In some schools parents are not even allowed to take photos of their own children during activities on school grounds. This is un-American, unchristian and it violates fundamental natural rights of parents that have been watered down gradually through liberal-leftist court decisions. Please watch this movie and pass it on to others. If you haven’t done it yet, please sign the petition to pass a parental rights amendment to the US Constitution to ensure that government will not remove children from homes unless their is genuine evidence of abuse or neglect. The right of parents to direct the upbringing and education of their children needs to codified into law so that international agreements (UNCRC) cannot supersede state laws on education or family policy. I was blessed by the following radio messages on King of Kings Radio as I drove along interstate 40 in Tennessee. While the media is often controlled by leftist liberals and carries a depressing, antichristian message and persuades people to abandon Christian faith and values, it is important that we consciously support Christian stations that bring old-fashioned Bible preaching and old-time gospel music. I appreciate even more that some Christian radio stations still broadcast the sermons of faithful preachers who have gone home to be with the Lord a long time ago – preachers and Bible teachers like Lester Roloff, Oliver B. Greene, J. Vernon McGee or Adrian Rogers. These are God-called men who have something to say – unlike the slick, flattering mega-church entertainers of today. I want to share with you 2 very special moments of listening to some of those old-time preachers as I was driving at night. My prayer is that many get saved as these men preach the word even as I myself found the Lord as I heard the word of God preached to me on Christian radio.   If you love Christian radio and Bible preaching, please don’t forget to like, share or favorite these presentations, so others may know as well. I hope you have come to know the Lord as your Savior through salvation by grace through faith as mentioned in those sermons. When I lived in Germany with German being my mother language I accidentally discovered Christian radio on shortwave and began listening to preachers such as Lester Roloff, J. Harold Smith and many other old-time Baptist preachers. Finally I asked the Lord to come into my heart and I got saved. These preachers all preached from the King James Bible. Something that I cannot describe began to fascinate me about the English Bible. I tried diligently to get one. You would think that as a native German speaker I would want to read the Bible in German, but it was not so. Finally, a Baptist church from Lawrenceville, GA sent me a King James Bible. I was so grateful for this Bible. Although I am a native German I began reading the King James Bible in English. I had to go to some dicitonaries to check the words that are not used much anymore in today’s everyday language. Sadly, our language corrupts but the English of the King James Bible sounds pure, clear and easy to understand. Later on, a Church of Christ sent me a New King James Bible and that book simply did not have the glory that the King James Bible had. Something within me just made me shy away from that NKJV. I have also used several German Bible translations and some of them produced doubt instead of faith because of doubtful marginal notes that attacked the doctrine of divine inspiration and the vast number of corrupted and missing verses, esp. verses dealing with the divinity, the virgin birth, miracles of Christ and the way of salvation. But in 16 years of being saved the King James Bible has always been there as a reliable anchor of my faith. Oftentimes I am saddened to see good things come and go. Good times pass. Good jobs won’t last forever. Good cars deteriorate. Good places many times are destroyed and “redeveloped”. Good people and good friendships pass. Nothing hurts more than the pain of being uprooted by change. What a comfort it is that we have a God with whom there is no change (Mal. 3:6). The King James Bible is exactly this unchangeable word of God for the English speaking world. We shoud not allow our faith to be uprooted by new Bible version. We do not need to participate in all of this change, but rather ask for the old ways, where is the good way (Jer. 6:16). Thank God for churches that are “King James Only”. Only the King James Bible has witnessed revival, awakenings and large number of conversions. New Bibles have produced confusion, apostasy and departure from th gospel and from Biblical principles and standards. The new Bibles simply lack authority whereas the King James Bible remains an authority for our faith and life. I have studied many different German Bibles but only one King James Bible. When I preached the word of God I would not have dared to preach from another English Bible. You just don’t want to to trade in a mansion to get a shack in return. The World Bible It always amazes me how God is working in history. When God dealt with the nation of Israel the Scriptures were written down in Hebrew. When God addressed the Gentile nations in the Old Testament he used Aramaic. When God transitioned to the New Testament and salvation was offered to Jew and Genitle the Scriptures were written down in Greek. Nowadays English has become the world language. English is the language of aviation, seafaring, world econnomy and computer technology. By God’s providence we have an English Bible that we can use in soulwinning all around the world. It takes lots of time and effort to translate scriptures into new tribal languages. But it is easy for someone to learn some English and to get ahold of the truth from the King James Bible. That’s why we have courts, and every law passed by Congress deserves a full and fair hearing. It’s time for Congress to intervene and make sure that the Defense of Marriage Act is vigorously defended in federal court. If President Obama disagrees with DOMA, he should call on Congress to repeal it. But every federal law, especially one overwhelmingly passed by Congress less than fifteen years ago, is worthy of the best case that can be made in its defense. For the sake of marriage and our constitutional system of government, with checks and balances between the branches, I strongly urge you to join a Congressional effort to intervene on behalf of DOMA in the pending federal litigation. Titus 2:11-14. It has been a blessing to listen for many years to the radio program “The Sower” with Dr. Michael Guido that has been broadcast over the world through international Christian radio. The above scripture lesson shows us that for those that have come to know Jesus it is their God-assigned duty to deny ungodliness and worldy lusts. We live in this word, but we know that it will pass away and that we have a home in the world to come with Christ. We want to be a blessing in this world, but we don’t to get caught up in the world. We will be caught up to be in the clouds with Jesus (1 Thess 4:13-18). That knowledge should help us to get our life in the proper perspective. We want to be separate from the sin of this world, but we also want to serve the Lord and one another in this world by way of a godly way of life that is characterized by those three words (1) sober, (2) righteous and (3)godly. Can you identify areas in your life that are not sober, righteous or godly? Can you identify tasks and responsibilities that you need to take to be sober, righteous and godly while awaiting the return of the Lord? Can you identify behavioral traits or habits in modern society that are contrary to being sober, righteous or godly which you need to avoid? Even many people who say they are Christian and profess salvation whould have to live a radically altered life in order to follow the scriptures’ command to live soberly, righteously and godly. Many times serving the Lord means that we have to unlearn. The world has conditioned our minds. We have consciously or unconsciously learned things that are contrary to God’s way of life. Just ten commandments to regulate man’s conscience are better than a multitude of government rules, federal laws, state laws, international treaties, etc. Mankind makes new laws everyday, but is unable to enforce them. Those who claim they are able to enforce man-made laws consistently usually are called tyrants, dictators, etc. Those who say that the Ten Commandments are “anachronistic” or “outdated” are basically saying that stealing, killing, lying, dishonoring the sacred, etc. are alright. Those who say the “Ten Commandments” are too “old-fashioned” or too “absolute” are basically sending invitations to every burglar to come to their house and help himself. Those who scoff and mock the Ten Commandments are basically giving their moral approval to the serial killer, the flood of divorces, predatory behavior, the exploitative cheap labor culture that does not know a sacred day of rest, etc. If God gives you a commandment, what makes you think you don’t have to obey it?  What part of “Thou shalt not” don’t you understand?   - God These ten authoritative instructions from God Almighty lead you to a happy and good life, if taken to heart and applied. But when you disrespect God’s commandments, your life ends up in misery and disappointment. Without God, your life is full of darkness. Make a choice now to do what God commands. He has created you and He knows what is best for you. So it must be your will to do God’s will. When God says “Thou shalt”, you respond to Him “Yes, I will!” Make it your choice now to obey Him, and you will “lead a quiet and peacable life in all godliness and honesty.” (1 Timothy 3:2) The Ten Commandments have also been instrumental in creating the freedom that the western world knows. These commandments that God gave us establish discipline in a society without the threat and violence of tyrannical governments. Not only did Jesus on His earthly journey instruct us on several occasions, “If ye love me, keep my commandments,” (John 14:15), but it is written there that the great commandment to love our neighbor can be expressed through the keeping of the Ten Commandments. It says in Romans 13:9, “For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”  Jesus preaches on the Ten Commandments in the Sermon on the Mount and explains God’s intent behind those commands. Jesus even mentions the comand to remember the sabbath day in the New Testament by saying that He is Lord of the sabbath and that this day of rest is for man.
